Man dies in crash at I-95 ramp to Beltway when it collided with a tractor-trailer truck. Dec 1, 2009

A man died in an early-morning crash Tuesday in Havre de Grace on southbound Interstate 95 at the eastbound ramp to Interstate 695, according to Maryland State Police. Police responded to the scene about 6:40 a.m. and found that a pickup truck had collided with a tractor-trailer at the ramp.

The driver of the pickup, 62-year-old Harvey Fisher, died at the scene, while the driver of the tractor-trailer, Raymond Shelton Jr., 53, of Lincoln, Del., suffered minor injuries, police said. Troopers say Fisher was driving his pickup south on I-95 in the left lane when he swerved across several lanes, apparently to get to the exit to the Beltway. His vehicle was hit by Shelton’s tractor-trailer, then spun out of control and overturned.
